Venice and Sarasota cabinet quote checklist
A decision file to complete before comparing cabinet quotes: jurisdiction, layout changes, trades, certification and label checks, payments and records.
What is not established
- This checklist does not establish a price, schedule, permit, license or warranty result.
- Measurements and layout must come from qualified project parties.
- No business is recommended or enrolled.
Print or save this checklist from your browser if a paper planning copy would help. Do not add private household or payment details to a shared copy.
Property and scope
- Property address and the confirmed jurisdiction: City of Venice, City of Sarasota or unincorporated Sarasota County.
- Whether the layout stays the same, or a sink, dishwasher, outlet or wall moves.
- If the City of Sarasota applies, the existing and new layout drawings its cabinet replacement application asks for.
- Who will make each plumbing, dishwasher and electrical connection, and under which license.
The quoted cabinets
- Manufacturer, line and door style, with the official product page.
- Box material and face-frame or frameless construction for the exact quoted cabinets.
- Any KCMA certification claimed, with the company checked in the KCMA directory.
- Confirmation that delivered cabinets carry a TSCA Title VI label.
Payments and records
- Contract holder, payment schedule and initial payment as a share of the contract price.
- Whether the scope needs a permit, and who applies for it.
- Lead time, delivery, removal and disposal, and the plan for timeline changes, dust and noise.
- Price, warranty terms and exclusions, written down by the seller.
The checklist items restate questions raised by DBPR, the City of Sarasota, KCMA, EPA and the Florida Statutes; it adds no requirement of its own.
