How flooring manufacturers describe water and moisture
A side-by-side paraphrase of the waterproof, water-resistant and not-waterproof wording on ten manufacturers' official pages, and what none of them states.
What is not established
- No statement establishes moisture performance on a specific slab or a FEMA flood rating.
- Mohawk, Pergo, Karastan, Emser and Interceramic pages could not be fully read during the research and are not represented.
- Statements can change; verify the current official page.

| Florida Tile | Wet-area guidance concerns slip resistance; no humidity or Florida-climate statement despite the name | none found | unknown |
| Engineered Floors | PureGrain described as waterproof overall; its laminate FAQ says water-resistant only | none found | unknown |
| The Dixie Group | Waterproof claims on TRUCOR only | none found | unknown |
| CALI | Vinyl collections described as waterproof | none found | unknown |
Waterproof wording describes the plank or its joints. ASTM notes that flooring manufacturers generally require slab moisture testing before installation, and the acceptable result comes from the installation documents, not the family page.
Original paraphrase of manufacturer statements recorded in the channel research, set against the ASTM F2170 abstract. These are business claims, not test results.
